Classic German Weisse or Hefe, brewed using German purity laws as a guide. This weisse beer is low alcohol and very refreshing in accordance with the law.  Named for the original brewer in Hanover, John Barnitz, whose brewery sat on the same land as Fat Bat in the 1700s. Barnitz, along with his son Elias Daniel Barnitz, founded the first brewery in Baltimore, Maryland, on Hanover Street, in 1748. We are sure Barnitz brewed this style in his day.
